In addition to his expertise in applying the law, Bo is also a law maker: he has served as a Georgia State Senator since January, 2021 and represents nine northeast Georgia counties in the legislature.
Bo’s legal career began at the University of Georgia School of Law, where he earned his Juris Doctor. During his time at UGA, Bo competed on the National Moot Court and Mock Trial teams, honing his litigation skills from the outset. Prior to law school, Bo earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he was captain of the varsity swim team.
Bo’s accolades include being listed on the Super Lawyers Rising Stars and the National Trial Lawyers Association 40 under 40 lists. He also received the esteemed honor of being named as a Georgia Tech 40 under 40 alumni.
Outside of the courtroom and Senate Chambers, Bo spends his time with his wife, fellow attorney Ashley Hatchett, and their four young daughters, Hallie, Hazel, Heidi, and Hope. They live in Habersham, Georgia and are known for their activism in the community.
